On Monday, September 29th, the JV and "C" team football team will be traveling to Canton. Times are as follow:

4:00 p.m. West Central JV vs. Canton JV

The "C" Team game will consist of a 20 minute quarter after the JV game.

What do you do when you're shorthanded? You hop right in. Dr. Barron served lunch to our high school students while the kitchen staff were shorthanded.

West Central FFA made history at the Southeast Regional Land and Range Judging Contest by qualifying two teams to compete in the National Land and Range Judging Contest in Oklahoma City in May.

Teams advancing include: Land Judging team of Joslyn Stahl, Ganon Lienhard, Darryn Beck, and Eva Healy

Range Judging team of Alex Siemonsma, Noah Erickson, Hailey Goebel, and Lyric Riepma.

Our FFA Range team of Hailey Goebel, Alex Siemonsma, Lyric Riepma, and Liam Murphy placed first. Hailey was the first place individual.

Our Land and Homesite team of Darryn Beck, Kenasyn Johnson, Eva Healy, and Evangeline Gerlach placed 2nd. Darryn was the first place individual in the contest!

Students advance to the Southeast Region Contest next week where berths to the National Land and Range Judging Contest will be up for grabs!

Homecoming is the week of October 6 - 10. There will be a parade for the community on Friday, Oct 10th at 2:30. Anyone interested in participating in the parade must complete the entry form and return it to Amy Lupkes at amy.lupkes@k12.sd.us by Monday, Oct 6th.

Congratulations to the Middle School Marching Band on earning a 2nd place finish at the Parking Marching Band Festival on September 19th! This is the first time the MS Band has competed in a competition.
